What is the Toyama Buri Kani Bus?
Toyama Bay’s “natural fish tank” nurtures premium winter yellowtail and red snow crab. The Buri Kani Bus is a reservation-only sightseeing bus that directly connects three port towns—Toyama, Shinminato, and Himi. Enjoy freshly caught seafood at the markets and take in spectacular views along the way, including Kaiwomaru Park and Amaharashi Coast—experience seasonal flavors and beautiful seaside scenery on a leisurely day trip.

In October and November, services mainly operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Notional holidays. From December to March, services operate almost every day (no service on January 1). Please check the reservation page for the latest operating status and seat availability.

A spacious area featuring the park’s symbol, the sailing ship “Kaiwomaru,” along with facilities where visitors can safely experience ships, the harbor, and the sea. Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, and take in the beautiful scenery at this popular date spot.

Abundant fresh seafood caught at Shinminato Fishing Port. At the restaurants inside, enjoy fresh fish, caught that morning, as well as plenty of seafood brought in through the nationally rare “daytime auction.”

The facility features the “Umaimon Shop,” offering local specialties from Imizu City, a permanent display of Shinminato Hikiyama floats, and a café and viewing terrace where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of Uchikawa. Take in the view of Uchikawa from the second-floor deck, where the river breeze is refreshing.

The nearest stop to Amaharashi Coast, where you can enjoy views of the Tateyama Mountain Range across Toyama Bay. Roadside Station Amaharashi features a café and shop offering local specialties, craft works, local sake, and miscellaneous goods and plenty of information about the surrounding area.

Himi’s food has it all. From freshly caught local seafood to carefully crafted processed products, a wide variety of shops let you fully enjoy the charms of Toyama Bay. In addition to dining and souvenirs, the facilities are packed with options including a natural hot spring and foot bath.
